The Bhupathipalem Reservoir Project is a medium irrigation project near Rampa Chodavaram village,East Godavari District.

The reservoir is surrounded by lush pine and coniferous trees. The reservoir has a tiny island and submerged trees with tall hillocks as the back ground. Every curve along lake presents a different view of the scenery. There is a parking and boating facility for visitors.

Boating has been started by government to provide livelihood to the youth of the submerged villages such as Gandhinagaram and Bhupathipalem and a Community Based Eco-Tourism has been started here to manage the operations and maintenance of boating by AP Forest Department. Attached  to this boating point there is vanya viahri with three double bed roomed cottages near the flood gates of the reservoir allowing a beautiful scene while the water is released. this rooms are also maintained by Gandhinagaram CBET though the actual owner is AP Forest Department.

Rail: The nearest railway station is Rajahmundry.

Road: It is at a distance of 60kms from Rajahmundry and 100 kms from Kakinada by road. It is well connected by state buses. And 25km away from Maredumilli towards Rajahmundry Only 5km from Rampachodavaram village
